Forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A ramp question!!!please help me

    • Ok so my rabbits getting neutered and he has a ramp in his cage and i was wondering that when he gets home from surgurey he can go up the ramp with out his stiches comeing undone…if they are i would put him in another cage but i dont want to get him stressed out right after surgurey…the ramp is a bit high he makes force when he goes up thats why im scared i dont want the stiches comeing undone cause he eats and poops in the bottom level and sleeps in the top level and i dont want him going up and  down so should i put him in another cage or just keep him in his regular cage and not stress him out so please help this is the ramp in his cage!its a bit blurry but its the green ramp!

        It should be fine. You just want to avoid excessive jumping around, but a ramp shouldn’t be a problem.

          Maybe he won’t feel like going up it when he comes home, maybe you can lift him onto the second floor? They are often a bit drowsy for a while after they come home and just want to lie down. And he probably won’t poop a great lot the first hours. Just let him have good stuff to eat near by him where he chooses to rest, like his favourite greens, freshly rinsed in water, you want to get his appetite going.

          I wish you (and him) the best of luck. I’ve had my two bunnies neutered and it was much less dramatic than I’d imagined. Both recovered in days, like nothing had happened.

            I would be more worried about him being woozy and falling. The ramp can’t be removed at all?
