Well, my little bun has gone in to have his nicky-nacky-noo-nah’s removed today.  I dropped him off this morning at the vet and left him with his teddy, his favourite chew ball and a packet of craisins, and I’m praying for a smooth procedure.  However, I have absolutely no idea how I’m going to look after him when I pick him up later.  If he has a wound that needs looking at or treating, there is no way Buckley will let me do that, he won’t let me pick him up, he’s also not a very big eater, he can even turn his nose up at banana, he really is a hay man and nothing much else, so if I have to feed him critical care (vet said they may send him home with some) I have no idea how I’m going to administer it??

Some healing vibes would be very much appreciated

        x

(((((((Best wishes for a smooth procedure and speedy recovery)))))))

You will need to check his incision area daily. The way I did this was to sit bunny on the table on a towel and gently lift up his front paws to have a peek underneath. If he’s very difficult, you can use a mirror to get a good view. Keep an eye out for swelling, redness or bleeding.

Most boys are pretty quick to recover. If you have to feed Critical Care, you will need to use a feeding syringe. You can ask your vet to show you how to do this properly.
