I am really worried… My new bunny, female flemmie
Jo-Jo, is practically perfect! At 11.5 weeks, she
has litter trained herself, has free run and does not
chew, dig or do anything but binky happily
about, stretch out lazily in the sun and seek me
out for the occasional pet or treat!
She seems totally bomb proof – doesn’t bother to
move when people walk by (“Please go around
me, for I am the Princess”), greets visitors at the
door by sniffing their shoes and snuggles with
my dog & cat! Am I in for a nasty surprise when
she hits puberty? Am I delusional? It just seems
like she’s an “old soul” and been there, done that
before! . Yes , I’m cursing myself! Anybody
else just have a bunny who was great from the
        get-go?

Sally was very well behaved. Around the 5 month mark she was semi aggressive when messing with things in her cage she would growl. She stayed litter box trained though. So at least prepare yourself. When she gets spayed she will revert to her normal bunny self pre hormones

Sigh. My little girl was just spayed. She was a perfect angel until 4 months hit. And she became very aggressive and territorial. She was a huge pain but thankfully kept up most of her litter box habits except for her poos and in her house. After her spay she was fine though and went back to her normal, lovable self!

Dreading “the terrible 4’s” ( it seems to be month 4 that everyone says it hits!)

Though my 3 yr old grandaughter has already pitched a fit and gone stomping up the stairs to her room, slamming the door, so I guess there’s attitude at any age!

Sometimes the bunny poop “hits the fan”, sometimes it doesn’t. My girl never lost her litter habits when puberty hit, but she did become very destructive, territorial, and aggressive. I was counting down the days until her spay appt!

The good news is, even if she gets crazy, it’s not her. It’s the hormones. She’ll settle back down!

Make sure everything is bunny proofed, and I would still recommend that you supervise her playtime. You never know when she’ll decide to nibble something that is off – limits!
