        Hey everybody!
Sorry I haven’t been on for a while. For some reason, my computer didn’t allow me to write a topic on the forums, so I haven’t been able to write a question/topic in a looooong time.   I didn’t even get to tell you that Mocha’s 1st birthday was on May 3rd.
Okay, anyway, Mocha has been chewing carpets and mats in his cage. I put him in his x-pen for 20 minutes, and he destroyed the new carpet I got for him! He only chews the part where the door is in his cage! He gets REALLY angry for being in his cage, even if it’s for a short amount of time.  So he decides to chew the carpet and make a giant hole. UGH. Really Mocha? He did the same thing to his puzzle piece mats. He didn’t eat the puzzle mats – he just made a giant pyramid of little puzzle mat pieces. That’s why I changed the flooring to his cage to carpet.
I want him to be a free-ranged bunny, but he’s not ready yet, and I don’t trust him, lol.  He chews the trim on the wall in my room and everywhere in the house. We have tried to cover it up, but he just chews through.  He will chew everything in my room which I don’t want.
He hates slippery things, so linoleum flooring/tiles won’t solve the problem (I think). Anything rubber he will chew up. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? I think my parents and I have spoiled him too much.
        Thank you.

I tried vinegar and bitterspray. Those did not work for Ashe… I also had cardboard EVERYWHERE (bf orders something from amazon at least once a week). Finally, I just decided that Ashe had to be watched 24/7. She just grew out of it for the most part but she has relapses every so often lol

But he destroys his carpet when I am asleep. I’ll try the vinegar tonight. Thank you for your ideas! I don’t know what else to do.. Maybe test out linoleum flooring for him?

Maybe if you tried the linoleum tile so there’s nothing to tear up, then put down some fleece blanket so Mocha doesn’t have to walk on the slick surface? You can get fleece by the yard at walmart for about $2.50-$6 per yard. We have that lining the flooring of one of our bunny’s cages and it seems to be working really well. He digs at it and chews on it but it doesn’t shred up into threads or anything like that. All we do is shake it out and then wash it once a week.
