Hi, my bunny had recently been peeing in a spot beside the couch. I then then wiped it down with vinegar and so he stopped. 2 days later, he pees under the coffee table. ANd so I wiped that place down with vinegar. How do I stop him from peeing in another spot. His litterbox is outside in hutch which is securely surrounded by a tall strong fence. He has always used his litterbox but I know he has gotten lazy since running over to his litterbox would take such a long time for his lazy bunny body(The living room is quite close to the hutch outside-he uses a bunny door to get outside. ) How do I stop him from peeing in another spot. My father said that if he pees again, he will have to stay outside in the hutch! Noooo!!!!

Here are a few things you should know.

        1. I cannot block off the living room because my father will not allow that.

        2. I cannot put a litterbox in the house-my father would not allow the smell.

        3. My bunny seems to be only doing his naught pee business at night time in the living room.

        4. My bunny was neutered when he was 8 months old.

Please, please help! I need to break his bad habit if I want him to stay in the house!

I know you said that your father won’t allow a litter box in the house because of the smell – but if you change the litter box every other day, that should control the smell. Also, I use pelleted pine….and I really don’t smell the pee.

He needs to have a litter box available to him inside. Can you try a covered litter box or a regular cat box and just clean it out every day? It shouldn’t smell.

He won’t be successful without having a litterbox available – that is the ONLY way to get him to use it. It’s too far away in the “hutch” outside.
