So the rescue e-mailed me this morning – their vet is doing a clinic tonight because he will be away again next week and so they believe they will have a spot for Nora to have her spay done tonight!    Everyone in the house is jumping with joy as she has been quite literally “a hott mess”.

Please send vibes for my little girl and that her spay goes well!  You think her being the third rabbit I’ve had done the worry and nervousness would go away – but it hasn’t!  She is just SO tiny.  A whooping 2.5 lbs.  I don’t even know if they have equipment that small!  He’ll surely need a magnifying glass to see what he’s doing in there.

Haha!  Anyway,  I should be dropping her off around 4pm today!  I’ll send updates as soon as I hear them!

                    Thanks everyone!

I dropped her off around 4pm and I don’t believe they start their clinics until 6pm unless they are doing this one differently because it’s not the weekly one. I’m DYING to hear back about how her spay goes. I’m going to be going nuts until I know she is okay!

Okay — going to clean her house out and get her things around for when she’s ready to come home!

                      My tough little one!

I just got my Nora home from her spay. I put her in her house – she was hopping around like crazy making everything was where it should be. And then started munching on some hay! Whoot!

                      So far so good!

She had only been out three hours when I got her home!

I was so shocked!!! Sidney was so miserable and kind of in shock it seemed. Wouldn’t move and took lots of coaxing to each anything. Hay was the last thing I expected Nora to eat. It may have been the meds though. But I was still surprised!

Glad to hear it! She is a trooper! When I brought Olivia home from her spay, that night, I seriously thought she was going to die! She was so lethargic and looked so awful.

On my phone – I will upload a picture of her last night. She looked so silly – I actually (no lie) texted the lady from the rescue to doue
Check that she was spayed. Since I was so confused at how fine she seemed!!!

She had her sinuses flushed also, Jersey! They said a bunch of crap came out so that may have been why she was sneezing all the time!

That’s how Sidney was also! I was just very, very confused.

Fleury came home from his neuter and gobbled down food which is exactly what she did! She ate so much hay, some pellets, and I gave her lots of veggies before bed. She was inhaling from her water bottle like crazy to!

She flopped all out – I’ll get a better picture later.

This morning when I woke up she had finished her bowl of veggies so I gave her another one.

I believe she is doing very well though.  Thinking about giving her some Metacam but she seems to be doing fine so not sure I should…

Yay! Glad everything went well with Nora’s spay. Wishing her a speedy recovery, and I don’t think she needs Metacam if she’s eating and acting normally again. Some bunnies just bounce back better/faster than others =).

The scanning is still happening? I wouldn’t really expect it to resolve but…you never know!

It is definitely still happening. She doesn’t scan much in her usual spot where we keep her anymore but as soon as you move her she starts it again. I swear, when she’s playing in the living room sometimes she scans so hard I’m surprised she doesn’t topple over.

It was a wonderful day for her. I was so worried for nothing with this spay though. She went through it like a champ. She’s still moving around and eating very well so I haven’t bothered with Metacam. She’s a tough little one for sure.

Hannaroo – I most likely won’t start anything bonding until after July 6th. I have my brothers wedding to go to and we will be gone for 24 hours. We have two people coming to check on them for lunch and dinner times. But the Tans get so rowdy sometimes when being introduced to another bunny that I don’t want to leave them 24 hours with no one to make sure they don’t have a fight (obviously Nora wouldn’t be left with them but when introducing Simba the bonded Tans fought a bit so I won’t to make sure I’m there if the bonded ones argue). It will give her lots of time to heal anyways. And for none of those hormones to be lingering around since she was full-blown hormonal I imagine it may take that long for the hormones to go away.

She is absolutely gorgeous isn’t she guys? Haha! I love her. And she’s developed that odd little pattern of whiter gray dots in the middle of her back. They’re so adorable. I’m curious as to whether they will go away from her first big shed or not.

I noticed her messing with it a bit yesterday (the incision). But the vet that did her did it the same way as our other buns. He stitched her up inside and then glued the skin back together on the outside. So there is nothing for her to actually tear at. I looked at her incision and it looks healthy and not irritated so I think she may just be licking at it although it can be hard to tell when she shoves her head way down that way. Haha!

That sounds exciting! I had mine ‘done’ a week ago. Buttons is much much calmer already and even if Suri hopes by his home he comes over for a smell but doesn’t pace and grunt like he used too. He only scatters poops if I put something of Suri’s in his area!

Suri licked her wound a bit but it never caused any problems. I guess it’s itchy where it’s healing?
