it depends on the size of the condo, most of mine took 4 boxes of panels

The minimum size cage for a single rabbit is 4′ X 2′, 8 sq ft (122cm X 61cm). For a minimum sized condo with two levels you’ll need to make it at least 3 X 2 grids (which gives you approx 8.1 sq ft).

            A single grid is 14″ (35.56cm).

As Bullrider said, we can help you better if we know how big you want to make it.

kcomstoc – You’re basically building a square so you’ll need 9 grids for each side and the roof (45 grids). You’ll have to add to that number if you’re going to use grids for shelf support.

My condo is a bit different because it’s two separate cages but I used plywood with vinyl tiles on it and a border for the base/shelf. The border is a 1″X 1/4″ I think but I’m not really sure on the exact size of the border wood.

ok well I have 17 grids already so that’s a start but I think I’ll get the 45 anyway just so that I can make sure to have enough, the vinyl tiles will be good for summer but how are they in the winter? do they get too cold?

It stays pretty much room temp maybe a little bit cooler. They’re not like ceramic or “real” tile at all. You’ve probably seen similar material in kitchens and bathrooms (unless they have real tile of course).

These are the ones I bought specifically:

I see them in A LOT of condos posted on here. I’m assuming because they’re pretty cheap at .39 cents a sq ft. .

FloppyBuns- That condo looks like it has 32 grids for the sides and roof + approx 5-6 for shelf support.
