         Hi guys!!

So, Potter has been doing amaing lately, his personality is really startings to show and he as warmed up to us (not as much as we’d like but he likes his cuddles!)

Now, my friend is moving and has a 3 month old bun that she needs to rehome, who is female.  I want to be able to take her in but i’m not sure how it will work.

I have a second cage for her, and i’d like to eventually bond the two buns.  Because they are so young (and we can’t seem to see and testicles on Potter yet!) can we bond them now while they are young before we get them spayed/neutered?  Or should I just keep them apart until they are both old enough to get the surgery?

Any help would be appreciated, as I have to let her know if i  can take her bun by this everning!

        THANKS!!

Definitely keep them apart until you can get them both altered.

They are so close to puberty I think it would be best if you waited until they were both spayed/neutered.

I think bonding them now would likely end up with them breeding.

I’m going to agree with the others that you should keep them separated until they’re altered. In the chance that they fight due to aggressive nature of an unaltered bunny, they might hold a grudge after they’re altered and the bonding process will be far more challenging.

Definitely keep separated until both are fixed. As hard as it can be – I had three babies and just wanted to bond and let them play immediately. BUT don’t do it. Some of the stories on here about unexpected oops litters are absolutely heart breaking and it’s the last thing you want them OR YOU to experience.
