My bunny is suppose to have 2 cups of veggies a day. When people give veggies to there bunny do they measure them in a cup or how do you know your bunny is getting 2 cups of veggies?

To keep it simple (for the greens) I measured using a measuring cup the first two nights. I have a specific plate for the rabbits so once I’d turned the correct amount into the plate and saw how full it was I just see that the plate is at least that full for each salad. Mine don’t have a weight problem so if they get extra I’m not worried about it and if uncertain for some reason (for example some lettuce is so much fluffier then others) I just add a little more.

After I got a good idea of how much 2 cups was, I never really bother to actually measure the amount of veggies I give…I just kind of eyeball it. As long as your bunnies are getting a good-sized varied salad, a little more or a little less day to day won’t hurt them .

Thanks. Do most people give them about 3 different veggies each night?

I give about 6 or 7 different veggies a day – it’s all the same every day but it’s a variety. Do my rabbits eat each and every veggie – the majority do not and I really give more than I should. I don’t think it’s the best way and probably should do the 3 veggies and rotate but some habits have been hard to break.
