I’ll soon be bringing home a new bunny and will be a first time rabbit owner. What brand of Timothy hay do you feed your rabbits? I bought a small bag from a pet store that specializes in all natural and organized products, but wasn’t sure if it is recommended to avoid pet store hay. Also what brand of pellets do you use? Just looking for suggestions before bringing the bunny home. Thanks!

Stupid auto correct, I meant all natural and ORGANIC products…not organized! Lol

You should find a local place that can provide hay “flakes.” You’ll save a ton of money that way. We get a flake for 9$ every month’ish, which is much better than getting the bags of hay at the store that will cost you twice as much. If you have to get the pet store stuff, go with Oxbow. Same for pellets. Timothy based pellets would be ideal.

I buy my hay at a local feed store and it’s about $4 dollars a flake here.

Oxbow is a good brand for pellets. I’ve heard good things about American Pet Diner as well.

For Timothy hay, I prefer American Pet Diner Gold, which is a second cutting. I also buy Oxbow Timothy and Zupreem Timothy sometimes.
