My rabbit’s cage has a metal flooring, and one of its corners has formed rust, so that whenever i wipe it with a wet tissue I get this reddish brown color

I cover the floor with some disposable plastic sheets to make it easier in cleaning, also I put the litterbox above this corner

        would it still be dangerous?

I think ingesting rust would not be good for a rabbit and could possibly make them sick. It does sound like you’ve taken measures to reduce the risk of ingestion/contact but moving a litter box and tearing up plastic sheeting is pretty easy for most rabbits. I would also be worried about the rabbit ingesting the plastic sheeting.

If it were my rabbit, I would replace the floor or cage.

EDIT: Could you fit some plywood over the metal floor?

What kind of floor is this? Is it one of those slide out trays? Or is it a stationary bottom? You can make a new floor out of a piece of sheet metal, if you’re handy that is. You would need a sheet metal bending tool and the sides would need to be riveted together.
Hmm, what about a piece of linoleum to cover the bottom?

Yes it’s a slide out tray. There was a wire flooring above it but I removed it to keep him comfortable
I don’t think it’s gonna be easy to make a new floor, it’s not easy for me to find such materials here in my country
I guess I can try to find something to cover the floor or that spot with, not sure what tho

I think something like linoleum would work well. As long as you secured the edges so he can’t chew on it.

I agree with LBJ, linoleum/vinyl sheet flooring would work well.
