Bunny (Charlie) has had a scab the size of a 5p coin on his ear the past week. Not bleeding, just seems to be gradually falling off as slowly as possible. When I try and check it for infection he nibbles my shoulder, so I stop because I think he doesn’t like it. Is this okay? He had long nails but I need to get them cut ASAP when my nail cutter for bunnies arrives.

Also,  I was moving a mattress earlier and he scooted in and under, and the mattress slid sideways onto him! (With me holding most of the bulk) When I realised he was under (about a split second after I realised I couldn’t hear him shuffling and doing stuff, I lifted it up immediately and he wriggled out. He seems to be okay, eating and not making any sounds. I just worry. Will he be okay?

It’s impossible for us to tell from here if he’s OK. I think, if you haven’t done this yet especially, it would be a good idea to get him a check up at the vet. You can get his scab looked at, his nails trimmed, and have him examined all over for anything out of place. bunnie’s don’t let on when they don’t feel well, so watch him carefully for any limping. As for the scab, that’s not really common so I’m not sure what’s the cause.
