I’m thinking about getting an x-pen to add on to my male Lionhead Nali’s cage. Now, fill me in…. good idea, or bad? Also, how should it be set up? Thanks!

That’s a great idea! It’s a nice alternative to free range since not all bunnies can be totally free 24/7. It works as a “front yard” to frolic in when you’re not home and at night. For playtime, you can just open the pen and let the bunny out to explore the rest of the room/house.

You want to get a dog xpen. The ones made for small animals are too flimsy. Minimum recommended height is 36 inches. Some of them have a walk-thru door. Those are really nice!

I have a puppy pen for my two! It’s pretty big so they have lots of room to bunny and jump and can fold away easily when I need the room myself! Your buns will love the extra space!

We have 2 XPens – and love them. We don’t use them in the typical way – but we use them to block off furniture and cords – where the boys have been naughty.
