So, as a new bunny owner I am trawling the net for info and it’s all contradictory! Especially where food is concerned. My bun is about 12 weeks. Should I be limiting pelets? How much fresh veg should she be having? Is one cup enough or too much? In the cup should there be fruit too? We are confused. So far reading all these posts about various things has helped so much. Hoping someone can help us out here too.

        Any advice would be wonderful.

        Laura and Tamariz. x

I’m going to move this to the Diet & Care Section.

You can feed unlimited pellets for now.

Veggies – start introducing slowly – one at a time working up to one cup (for now).

Fruit – very limited – this is a treat.

Thanks. She seems to be managing a cup of veggies ok as I started with this because the pet shop had been. Will keep contents the same for a while though and start mixing it up in a few weeks. Thanks for the tip about fruit.

If you haven’t checked out the HRS diet and veggie sections I would give them a read. They are really helpful and offer guidelines for feeding at all ages.

Thanks so much. The list is really helpful. Bok Choi and cabbage seems to be her favourites at the moment but we are still learning about each other.

You can always trust the nutrition and other bunny info at rabbit.org and here in the INFO section of BB.
