Hi everyone, my bun Rocket is about 4 months old now, and he’s growing up so fast! He’s so adorable!

He behaves very well, except that the other day, he decided to rip apart the bed I have in his cage. There were pieces everywhere (but I’m pretty sure he didn’t eat any of the pieces). I took the bed out of his cage because it was destroyed, but that was his favorite place to nap and sleep at night.

So, yesterday I tried to make a bed out of towels and fleece, but he started chewing on the towels, so I took that out a couple minutes later.

I’m just trying to figure out a good bed that he could sleep in and enjoy, without ripping apart. Whether it is store bought or homemade, it doesn’t matter, I would just like a safe and comfortable place for him to rest.

If anyone has any ideas, or knows of a good solution, I would love to hear it!

        Thanks,

        -Crystal

Really, he will be perfectly fine on the floor. He truly doesn’t need a bed like you and I do. Rabbits like to stretch out on their carpet or floor in their area. Beds sound like good ideas to us humans, but rabbits don’t truly understand this concept.

                OMG, he’s gorgeous!!!!

My Bridge Mini-Rex also wasn’t able to have blankets. For bedding, I put shredded paper (a mix of phone book shreds and store bought paper pet bedding) in his box/house. It made a nice cozy bed and also soft on those sore-hock prone Mini-Rex feet.

I got this for one of my bunnies. She really likes it, she sleeps in it, chews on it, digs at it, and drags it around. She’s three months old and has had it for a month and it’s still holding up, although I think she’ll need a new one in a month or two. It’s totally safe for buns to eat, and only ten bucks with free shipping.
