My little one still isn’t terribly into toys but I accidentally made this today (restless fingers when I was on the phone) and she pretty much ripped it from my hand and (for her) played with it for a long time.  The bottle cap from my bottled water is just a hair wider than the caps from the soda or juice that I buy so with a bit of elbow grease you can push the smaller one inside.  She enjoyed pushing it around but she was really intent on picking it up and throwing it which was doable but a nice challenge since the overlapping lip is so small.  Very simple and she seems to enjoy it more than just a single bottle cap for some reason.

*Be careful if your bunny is a chewer.  With enough work they could shave off some little shards of plastic and possibly ingest them.

Sorry the picture is a bit fuzzy, she didn’t want to stop playing long enough to let me get a picture.

That is such a neat idea! Any time I find a homemade toy idea on the internet, I get really excited to make it for my bun. I wish Nugget liked throwing things around, he is a chewer and a digger, but I’ll try this anyway. I’ll monitor him in case he does eat the plastic, but the worst case scenario is that he doesn’t play with the caps lol.

Harley is a big thrower too lol I think I will try it! He makes his own toys by just finding random objects and tosses them around. So far he decided a clear plastic box was the perfect tossing toy and he also enjoyed tossing a balled up sock around. Buns are so funny

Mine like to toss things. Willow balls, grass balls, little stuffed animals, and baby keys. They really like the baby keys and will toss them around for what seems like a long time. I will have to try the bottle cap idea. I think they would really like it.
