Or Miss, more accurately, but then the pun wouldn’t work quite so well.

Anyway, the penny has finally dropped – the reason that my little diva has calmed down is not because she has a playpen and more space… But because she has a blanket. More specifically, a very friendly blanket. There is definitely a reason she loves it so much! I picked it up this eve to move it and she leapt on it and couldn’t control her balance – her little tail was going a mile a minute, humping away at this thing.

I’m assuming this is very normal bunny behaviour, but I have to admit I assumed she wouldn’t do it if she’d been spayed. Guess she will do it anyway, and that’s just her being, well, a bunny! Call me naive (you’d be relatively right, bunny-wise) but I also assumed it was more a boy thing than a girl thing. Guess that’s not right either!

Both boys and girls will hump. It’s a dominance thing. For some reason, she has decided to take it out on the blanket. Hehe, maybe that blanket just doesn’t know its place.

            Ditto what LBJ said.

She’s the boss of that blanket!

My female rabbit is spayed and she humps things sometimes… she had a thing for my boyfriends dirty laundry

It’s definitely a very bad blanket, and deserves to be punished

Dirty laundry?! Well, whatever floats their little furry boats I guess

That’s too funny. My little Bridge lop, Velvet used to hump the bejeebers out of my hubby’s slippers. It was funny because they were these big, furry monster feet slippers. She stopped after her spay though.

My OH has shark slippers, I don’t think she’s seen them since she started doing this, but that might be worth a try, just for entertainment really…
I think the blanket needs a break… Though at least when she’s getting aggressive and bitey I can give her the blanket and she might leave me alone!

Haha yeah. My boyfriend makes me hide all his blankets and clothes now when she comes out to play, because he doesn’t want female bunny parts rubbing all over his blankets he has to sleep on. She apparently thinks his scent means it must be dominated! lol

Bunnies can be very amusing at times with their quirks.

I told my fiancé about that, and he totally agreed – he said don’t you dare give her anything of mine!

I’m seriously considering giving her a pair of his boxers, just to see his face…

Oh man, I know how you feel! Buster humps his stuffy like mad and he’s neutered. I took it away once because I thought it was normal behaviour and got thumped at. Never again.

Also, once I fell asleep on my floor and woke up to my foot being violated. Who knows…

Oh BB! Poor Buster! I took blanket away last night, and when I went in this morning, she was looking so forlorn without it. As soon as I picked it up she was up and madly scrabbling through her pen bars for it, and of course, as soon as it was back in the pen, true love conquered all…!

Nothing can stop true love. It’s not right to keep them apart. They have a serious, comitted relationship and it’s not for you to meddle in your girl’s private business. She has obvioulsy chosen her partner. We can’t be really sure how blanket feels about it all, but he isn’t trying to get away, is he? Imo that’s all the proof one really needs.
