Ahhhhh. It was the easter holidays last week and the week before so I didn’t really contact Lucie ( my baby bun owning friend ) and she has been selling her baby rabbits. They will be gone when they are about 10 weeks, 2 to her cousins in Scotland ( we live in the midlands! &#160 and 1 to Alice ( another girl in my class ) I don’t know about the others. How do I teach people about rabbits, I hate having to listen to:

” my rabbit and my guinea pig always fight, I don’t know why. When I put them together they chase eachother, my guinea pig fell down the stairs once “

” I’ve got a rabbit, they’re boring, all they do is sit in a cage all day “

” No, I’m not getting them neutered, I’m only getting one “

“Oh, you only need to feed them carrots “

” I just forgot to feed him for two days and he died “

Lucie isn’t as bad as some of those people, It’s more the taking two 10 week old rabbits to scotland. I don’t know what to say, I tried the advice given in my last post about this, it didn’t work.

Maybe print out a care sheet for those getting a bunny. It will be like a care guide to go with each bun

I’m unsure of why it’s bad for 2 of them to go to Scotland… is there a problem with where they are going?

I’d give people resources to go to rather than direct advice, unless someone asks you for it directly.

That is a dilemma– you can take a camel to the water but you cannot make them drink. There are excellent websites with information and excellent basic rabbit care books . . . and by now probably excellent YouTube flics but all too often while people express an interest in learning, that interest doesn’t last long enough for them to actually act on it, I think. . . . Maybe just try to get whoever is getting the bunnies to spend as much time as possible with you so you can conversationally teach them a lot. . . . Is that impractical? Are there local rabbit clubs or organizations in Scotland that you could recommend? Hey, you could recommend binkybunny.com! (I’m new; I hope I didn’t just say something wrong or misunderstand the dilemma).

No it’s not were they are going, it’s just that they are young, have never met the people they are going with, and about to go on a 7 hour journey.
