Flin has now got a new habit of digging in my duvet. While I dont mind the digging, she bites and tears the duvet cover so now I have holey duvets!

        Why is she doing this?

What can I do to stop it?

          Naughty Flin!

I think she’s trying to rearrange it to her standards! The princess cannot stand that the duvet has that little crinkle! It’s imperfect and that just won’t do! And your duvet certainly doesn’t need that little patch there…or this one here!
          Annoying, I know!

Allst I can think that you can do is block it off with an xpen, or put plenty of towels/old sheets she can attack to protect your duvet!

Lilly actually does the exact same thing! We try to keep her out of our bedroom because she will jump on top of the bed and go crazy.

We ended up just getting a pillow and putting a pillow case on it and letting her dig in that. She doesn’t actually break into pillow or the case, and it seems to keep her occupied and happy.

Digging is a very natural behavior that, unfortunately, often gets taken out on our blankets and clothing. Olivia recently started digging my couch and making holes in it.

There’s really no way to stop the behavior (from my experience). Your best bet is to just protect your items by blocking access to them. Maybe put the duvet in the closet while Flin is out.

This is definitely a normal thing. I would get an old blanket or towel that she is allowed to destroy, and put that over your duvet while she’s up there, or just take the duvet off.
