Hi everyone, I’m Allie and I live in Scotland. I’d like you to meet Dinky and Tribbles!

Dinky is a spunky, playful little lionhead, and Tribbles is a sweet, banana-hungry floppitylop. They’re both four months old and they’ll be going for the big op on Tuesday, which is pretty lucky they were booked in since as of last night they’re no longer getting on!

They came into mine and my partners’ life last month and quickly took over our apartment. He’s very new to bunnies but he’s a big softie when it comes to little fuzzy animals that hop all over him. I got my first rabbit when I was 6, she was a beautiful albino that my mum and I rescued, so I’ve always had a thing for bunnies.

I can’t wait to make some bunny-loving new friends!

            Big Welcome to you!

Dinky and Tribbles are adorable. Cute names too.

I would love to go to Scotland! I’m in Canada and have 2 bunny children, Bindi Loo and Olivia.

Aaah it’s so nice to meet you all~!

Dustbunny and Clyde are so so cute!! I love lionheads, in fact I just acquired two lionhead brothers! I feel a little sorry for Tribbles being the only non-lionhead

LittePuffyTail – Scotland really is a beautiful country. I’m not from here originally, my boyfriend is, and I moved up from England to live here with him. Your sig picture is so sweet, I’d love for my buns to snuggle under blankets rather than weeing on them and trying to tear them up!

CupcakeandDizziesMom – The buns appreciated the compliments, they’re suckers for comments on their snuggability :3

As I mentioned in my comment to Dustbunny-Clyde, we’ve now got two more bunnies added to the family! Meet Getty and Jasper!

I had a call from a friend a couple of days ago from a friend who knew someone who *sigh* bought her 4 year old daughter some bunnies for Easter. I know, I know > As the story goes 70% of the time, the kid “got bored” of them because “they don’t like being picked up or cuddled”.. Shameful behaviour from an impulsive parent. They didn’t even have names! They were known as “the rabbits”, were left in their cage all day and were given minimal hay and a whole iceberg lettuce every day, then when the kid came home from school she’d try to pick them up, they’d run away from her, and she’d get angry about it.

So, here they are now, living in my front room in a spacious xpen, near a window, with unlimited hay and all the pak choi and spinach they could wish for. Luckily, they’re neutered, bonded brothers, and although they’re very nervous, I’m sure over time with better care from Andy and me, they’ll be able to live happily.

As far as the living situations with Dinky and Tribbles, Dinky now lives in the kitchen and Tribbles lives in our bedroom. They had to be separated anyway because they’re due to be neutered and were trying to fight each other at any given chance. If you had seen my thread in the bonding section RE: these two, unfortunately their testicles haven’t shown themselves yet and they couldn’t be neutered on Tuesday. They are booked in for next month, so hopefully we’ll have more luck next time!

I really hope I can eventually bond them as a 4. Me and Andy have plans to build a mini-shed for them to snuggle away in, rather than having 2 big cages and an xpen. Of course, that idea will have to wait until, or if, they ever manage to get along as 4 bros.

Welcome to BB! Your buns are absolutely adorable!!!

Just curious – how old are the other bunnies? I would be careful since you said they were gotten as Easter bunnies (which usually means babies! EEK!) and sometimes they can really be sexed wrong at such a young age. Although they do look pretty big for babies! I’d keep them separate until you can get them to a vet to be checked! Just some advice. We’ve had some people on here with Oops litters and it’s always heart wrenching.

Btw, I have a bonded foursome! And will be adding another little girl into the mix when she gets her spay done in about 2 months!! I’d be happy to help with your bonding in any way I can! Just start a thread about bonding and I typically show up! I LOVE LOVE LOVE groups of bunnies. I swear, nothing is more heart warming than watching my four cuddled together after dinner time. <3

Hi Tanlover It’s okay, they’re both six moths old and they’re neutered. They were also vet-checked the day they came home so everything’s a-okay. They are pretty big! Much bigger than I had expected when I collected them, in fact. My other two are only four months old and are so much smaller, it really reminds me they’re still just little babies :’)

You have a foursome!? Oh wow, yes, I really will need your help, I have no idea where to start! Especially since they’re all males.

Ahhhh – no worries! The males were the easy ones in my group to bond, shockingly! Hahahaa. It was like we got rid of all those male hormones and BAM – everyone was happy! My girl on the other hand, I swear she is still a moody little thing despite being spayed!

I’m usually around the forums a lot so once your other two are neutered, start a post and I’ll hop right in with lots of comments! I have a problem with bombarding all the bonding posts, oops! Hahah!

My newest little girl is four months old also! I swear, she’s growing so fast. We rescued her a month ago and I hate how quickly she is growing. Le sigh. They all must grow I suppose!

Your new buns are gorgeous. So wonderful you took them in. Irresponsible adults….sigh…how can someone “grown up” have so little common sense?
