Hello, I just got my rabbit Douglas neutered today and I’ve notice that he isn’t pooping a lot. I’ve just seem a few droppings since this afternoon. He’s been nibbling on food since I got him back. I just want to know if its normal for rabbits not to poop a lot after getting neutered. Please let me know, thanks.

It is normal. If he’s nibbling on food, his bowels will probably get moving soon. The nibbling is a really good sign! Many rabbits won’t eat the same day they’ve been neutered. My bunny only pooped like 4 small droppings the day he was neutered and he wouldn’t eat until the next day.

          Keep monitoring him.

Yay! Whew! It is normal for things to slow down a bit after surgery, but it is important that things start moving by the next day. Sounds like that happened with Douglas. So good news!
