I have had guinea-pigs in the past and I knew that the best thing to do was to buy fresh hay (local if possible) or fresh pellets.

Kleenmama’s was the best place to get quality guinea-pig pellets that were touted better than Oxbow (by everyone’s satisfied guinea-pigs). I suppose this was because, unlike many pellet brands, KM’s pellets were more fresh, genuine, and flavorful than the store-bought brands that spend long lengths of time in the warehouse/factory.

Sadly, she doesn’t make rabbit pellets. Grrr.

I feed Zupreem (although it has corn, it’s pesticede-free) currently, but I want to try something new… Other than Oxbow Organic.

I was wondering if there was a similar company that sells fresh rabbit food.

I found one with great reviews, but I was wondering if there were others.

        Help.

Thanks! I ordered a 4.5 pound bag for starters.

I found this one moments ago while lurking another rabbit forum *ahem*:

But I don’t like the ingredients. The ingredients are too much and have unvital additives.
… Anyone that sells yogurt treats for guinea-pigs or rabbits isn’t very knowledgable in cavy/lagomorph nutrition, either.

I can’t wait until the Sherwood pellets arrive.
Gosh, I can’t stand the suspense!

Now, I just need a place to buy bulk hay.

For bulk hay, do you have any feed stores near you? I get fresh local hay from one near my house at fairly low cost.

I don’t use Zupreem, but I know that they no longer include corn in their pellets, if that is one reason you wanted to try another pellet.

I have somewhat local feed stores (if you call 30 miles local) but no car to deliver hay into the big city, which is where I reside.

                  Penelope loves the Sherwood pellets:
