  We are on day 6 of bonding our boys!! 5 weeks post neuter, going pretty good so far. we’ve been using different neutral areas everyday, kitchen, bathroom, outside in the grass, we are up to 45 minutes so far. day 3 there was a little squabble, but easily broken up by distraction. they are trying to hump each other, clyde is trying to groom dustbunny, but dustbunny turns and gets a little skittish! when they are humping or looking like its going to confrontational I’ve been intervening!! dont know if its going to work?? will keep on trying everyday!! I would be happy if they can just play together peacefully, dont mind that they have separate cages!! they were so happy and close when they were together when they were babies!!

  Not sure which is the better way, but when I was bonding my boys, I stuck to one area until they were getting along before enlarging the area or moving to a new area. Bonding in a new place every day might be causing lots of territorial frustration. That’s just my guess. Staying in the same spot would probably give them time to work things out. Just my two cents.

  I took them outside again today! big fight after 20 min. ugg! fur was everywhere! pretty aggressive! broke it up a.s.a.p. I don’t understand these bunnies?? they snuggle and love each other through their cages and x pen fence! should I maybe take a break for a while??

  It might be a good idea if there is frequent aggression. I haven’t done much stress bonding but have done quite a bit of research. A 20 minute car ride is suggested with you in the back seat with the bunnies. It’s best to put them in a box or laundry basket so you can easily seperate and intervene if needed. Or if you don’t have a helper to drive, you can put them in a basket on the washing machine for a bit. After stressing, don’t do any other bonding work right after as they may take out their stress on the other bun when the scary stuff has stopped.
