My Rabbit, Patches, refuses to pee in her litter box. It’s gotten to the point where i’ve just put a cookie sheet with litter in it so it doesn’t stain the tray when it seeps through the newspaper on the bottom. This technique works well, but i’m just curious as to why she does this. Is she marking her territory?

I’m a little confused by what you mean – where does she pee instead, if she refuses to do so in her litter box? If she always pees in one particular location, sometimes the best thing to do is just to move the litter box, or put another one in that location.

Can you describe her habitat set up?

Does she have newspaper lining a cage floor or is she on wire flooring with a catch tray underneath?
