Hello! So from my early posts, I was planning to get my 2 female rabbits spayed within those next few weeks. Due to some family issues, that wasnt able to happen. Theyre 7 monthes now and as I was cleaning out one of their litter boxes today, i noticed a dark orange almost reddish urine spot. Im a little concerned about the uterine cancer issue since they arnt spayed at the moment. What should I do?! Have I waited to late to get her spayed?! Just need some advice please! Thanks!

Rabbit urine can vary in color from yellow to orange yellow. The color can be affected by their diet. I waited to get my girl fixed at the age of 9 months. So don’t worry. =] You really just want to get your girls fixed before they turn 1.

Cancer begins to be a big issue around age 2. The red/orange urine is usually because of diet. My girl is healthy and spayed and her urine typically ranges from “normal” to dark orange, depending on what she’s eating.

Yep, much more likely to be something she is eating rather than cancer.

Just echoing everybody else to say that red urine can be normal, since rabbit urine can vary significantly in color. However, I’m glad you’ve made the decision to have them spayed!
