I’ve already made a few posts the past few days, but here is my official introduction for my bunny Dotty.

Dotty  is a little more than a year old.  Her exact date and breed is unknown to us.  However, after creating a topic here questioning her breed, it appears that the general consensus is Holland Lop.

She was given to us from an acquaintance of my father’s.  They have a little girl who was Dotty’s original owner.  However, after only keeping her for a few weeks, they decided that a rabbit is just too much for them to handle.  Our family accepted her immediately when asked if we would like to have her. When she was given to us, we were told that she was still a baby.

Now that we have had her for a little more than a year, she appears to have grown slightly?  Maybe she’s actually just getting fatter.  lol.

Here are some pictures of her.  The little girl holding Dotty in two of the pictures below is my little cousin Gina.  She adores Dotty, and when I was taking pictures, she refused to let Dotty down.  So, I took pictures of both of them together, and I’m so glad I did!  =)

Can you guess how Dotty got her name?

Dotty is like a stuffed animal.  She will let you hold her however you want and she’ll stay still.  I would like to say I never abuse this temperament of her’s… but I’d be lying.  I’ve been caught putting hair clips on her, putting weird outfits on her, and other things that if Dotty could speak, she would never tell of such things due to sheer embarrassment.

                  So pretty!

I was waiting to see if Dotty tried to take the strawberry!

Oddly enough, Dotty doesn’t get excited over food.  Sometimes I’d give her treats, and she would be very suspicious of it.  It usually takes her a while before she convinces herself that it might be yummy.

Oh wow! That’s interesting. I guess at least you don’t have to stress about her finding/eating something that’s bad for her!

Sally is the same way! I can’t give her anything nice or new she looks so suspicious at anything new n her salad! After awhile she’s decides “maybe they aren’t trying to poison me” and take a bite and decide YUMMY! Lol

Oh Feathery, I wish my Bean would let me hold him like Dotty. I would totally do embarrassing things like dress him up and put paper clips on him. Maybe that’s why he knows better.
