my bunny loves to eat/ chew on one reusable grocery bag I have, I hadnt thought much at first, but I really want to take the best care of him, and it says that the bag is made %100 out of polypropylene. and I googled it, it says that it’s a bit of plastic, I’m not really sure though, I didnt reallyt understand it. and would like some advice on if he can or cant eat it.

        HELP PLEASE

Consuming a large amount of it wouldn’t be good, but if he just had a nibble then most likely he will be just fine. Most bunnies won’t actually eat plastic, they will just chew on it and the evidence is left with little pieces all over the place (instead of in their tummy).  Just keep an eye on his litter box habits to make sure he is pooing and peeing normally — along with eating normally as well.

It definitely would be best for his digestive system to chew on something healthier.

Like maybe an old pair of 100% cotton jeans. Might be better than polypropoline at least cotton is natural?

I wouldn’t let him chew on it. It’s probably fine for now if he hasn’t had any problems, but rabbit digestive systems are notoriously sensitive and plastic isn’t something they should be ingesting. He might just be chewing and not eating it, but mine have eaten plastic before and one had stomach troubles because of it.

I wouldn’t recommend cotton or clothing either. Stick with paper products, cardboard, or wood like willow for safe chewables.
