        Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I’ve been stalking the site for a month now.

         Got my first buns on Feb 3rd. They are pet shop buns and we were told the age was 6-7 weeks for both. It was love at first sight for my partner and I. She immediately picked up a tiny, half the size of the others, Netherland dwarf(Peanut) and I instantly attached to a beautiful “Lionhead.”(Butters) I say it that way because I don’t believe she is a true Lionhead.

         The gentleman that helped us at the pet store was not as knowledgeable as we had originally thought him to be. In a month we have learned so much about our furbabies that we are now the “go to” people with our friends.

        In a short month, these two have grown into quite the personalities. Peanut is very hyper and wants to explore everything but is still very nervous of it all. Butters, on the other hand, is not afraid of anything. She will go any where, climb on anything, jump on and off the bed like it is nothing. Butters loves to be groomed and will sit for pets until your hand falls off and then she will happily groom you in return. Peanut will accept pets, on his time but do not expect any love it return. They are constant floppers, meaning if they aren’t doing the bunny 500 around the room, they are flopped over next to each other. As strange as it is Peanut loves to be picked up and held, he is the weirdest bunny I have ever seen. Butters will fight with us but once we have her against our chest she just sits and her teeth just go to purring. They have been litter box trained for about 2 weeks now. Peanut will occasionally potty outside of the box but it is only ever on our dog bed. We just recently switched them over to a water bowl and they much prefer that to their old bottle.

         Goodness, I start talking about them and find it hard to stop. I am just so in love with my bunny babies.

         Here they are: (hopefully)

            Welcome to BB! I hope you enjoy it here. Your buns are totally adorable.

            I do suggest that you separate the two buns soon until a month after they are spayed/neutered. Buns mature sexually at a very young age and you may end up with an “opps” litter by accident.

              Hi folks, I have been a bunny parent for 2 years, and I have two lop rabbits named sammy and kitty.

              Since im on my phone all I can show you is the album on my facebook. Kitty is brown, I really wish I could find out what breed she is, mixed or not..

              Sammy is the butterfly patterned one. He looks like a mini lop :]

                Omg, I’ve been lurking on this forum/site for a while too! We got our bunny on Feb 3 and from a pet store as well and yeah, they really don’t know anything about the bunnies they sell. I will adopt next time, but we got lucky with a sweetie. Your little ones are precious! They look like siblings because of their color patterns. They sound like a fun pair, that’s great that you got them together. Did you have to bond them together or has that not happened yet? Do you recommend a water bowl over a water bottle?

                  I like the water bowl, it is a more natural position for their little necks. They seem to be pretty inseparable, so hopefully it will stay that way.

                    Oh gosh Peanut is teeny tiny! And Butters seems to be the right name for the lionhead, judging from what you’ve saud about her. Adorable picture : )

                      @Uni
                      Kitty looks like a mini lop also to me. Both have the chestnut agouti colouring but Sammy’s is a “broken” pattern.
                      Very cute faces! I love the agouti rabbits, they have such big looking eyes.

                        just have to share this picture. I got up and seen this. If you look closely you can see his little arm around her side. They were spooning and my head almost exploded from all the cute.
