Hi, I’m new here. I have 2 mini lops- pepper and nutmeg. Nice to meet y’all!

Now, pepper recently had signs of GI stasis to we took him in to the vets. He received injections for gut kick start ups and so on, then was released. We were told he immediately started eating again, however when we returned home he wouldn’t eat hay nor drink water. He ate a pellet and a bit of strawberry which I gave him as a test, which he happily ate, but it seems he won’t eat hay. We were given by the vet a gut motivation sachet to put in us drink but he won’t drink it!

Anyone, any ideas on how to get him to eat hay and drink this medicine???

        Thank you

I would ask the vet about Critical Care – you may need to syringe feed him or make a pellet mash to feed him by syringe.

I second Sarita. See if you can syringe feed him. Burrito wrap him up and see if you can put the syringe in behind his front teeth at an angle. If my description makes no sense there are some really good YouTube videos that show you how to do it.

Do you know if he is having any sort of teeth issues that may have led to him stopping eating hay?
