I have two bonded bunnies that need a new cage because they are growing out of their old one so I decided to build a new N.I.C cage. I need to know the recomended size for a cage for two bunnies. I need it to be big enough for them to stay in it for seven hours everyday exept for the weekend because I have to go to school. Thank ypu in advance!!

I think a good manageable size for two bunnies is at least 3x2x3. Have you considered housing them in an exercise pen?

For two bunnies, the minimum size is 4×4 feet. This is the size of an x-pen. What are the concerns about an x-pen? That would be the easiest, sturdiest, and cheapest option.

It is honestly easier to clean a pen setup. The cage that we built for two buns was 3 cubes long, 4 cubes high, and 2 cubes wide. Have you talked to your parents about maybe doing a hybrid setup? Building a cage and attaching a pen to the outside?
