My  3 month old rabbit, Bean eats a diet of fresh timothy hay and oxbow pellets. He has been acting very happy, doing lots of binkies and eating and drinking normally. However, I noticed that he had a couple larger, stickier poops in his litter box, along with many normal ones. They weren’t diharrea, but softer than his normal droppings. In addition to this, I also saw a couple normal looking poops covered in what looked like ceceotropes, and I don’t really know what to make of it. He has a bit of crusty poo near his bottom that I am trying to carefully remove.

I could take him to the vet, but I don’t want to unless I have to ( my local vet is very expensive, and I just had a medical expense for him with a bill of $400 )

        Thanks!

Is he currently or has he recently been on any medications?

Are his pellets the ones for young rabbits or the adult Timothy ones?

How are his poos now? Still the same or have they gotten back to normal? Have you recently tried any new veggies or treats with him? This can sometimes send their normal looking poos out of wack.
