        Hey guys,

Buster’s been concerning me lately so I checked his litter box. He seems to be sleeping a lot… however, I think this is just because I’ve been home all week (reading week) so when I’m up in the day I expect him to be running around – but he never is. He’s been eating and pooping normally – though I think some of his poops might be smaller than normal. But, I’m also EXTREMELY paranoid.

Anyway, I check his litter box and I just found this… usually he pees on his litter but he was tunneling into his hay so I’ve never seen anything land on hay before. This is why I thought it might be pee. I read somewhere that rabbits have much different urine when we do, but I’m not sure if this is true.

Do you think it’s diarrhea? It really alarmed me and now I’m really worried. If it is, what should I do? I read somewhere about making a chamomile tea and pellet concoction? I just put down his dandelion greens for him to eat tonight, should I not let him eat them?

Thanks for any insight! It’s so hard having your first rabbit – so young and ignorant

          I think pee.
May be a bit gross but when I’m not sure, I wipe it with a paper towel and sniff it. Pee has a distinct smell regardless of color.

my guess is pee. also, rabbits are crepuscular, which means they’re most active at dawn and dusk. your daytime is his sleep time, so no need to worry that he’s not running around.

Phew! Thanks everyone. I was just concerned because it was a little bit more thick.
I’ve been cuddling him all night rubbing his belly just in case I’m sure he loves the attention no matter what! Hehe.
