Pebbles and flin are both under 6 months and they’ve taken to nipping me, try don’t bite too sore that it bleeds but it’s still sore and irritating. Are they just hitting puberty and will it stop when I get them spayed? Otherwise how can I stop them?
I try the high pitched yelp but it ends up scaring both bunnies when only the one has just bit me.

The squealing never worked for me and I felt like an idiot trying it. What I used to do when I had biting bunnies was if they nipped me I would put my hand on their head to try to show dominance. I suspect though that this biting is not due to aggression but more to their age as you mentioned.

Will it stopped once they are altered – hard to say, altering is not the cure all for any behavior many times it’s age and altering.

My bun’s 8 months and neutered and still bites from time to time, not too hard but he does. I tried making squeeling noises or saying no but he takes no notice. I actually started pointing my finger at him and saying ‘naughty bun’ every time he does it and he looks a bit ashamed for a second

The squealing never really worked with my buns. I have found “nipping” them back stopped them. I would pinch their butts until them ran away and telling them “NO”. They usually would come back pacified and act submissively towards me after that. My boy, Pan, does not nip at all anymore because he does want to be “nipped” by big bad mom.

My (4 month old) bun nips me. I just boop his nose and say “noooo bunny bunnies” and he’ll come back and nudge me and be nice again.

I would try Saritas suggestion — this worked the best with my bratty baby bun buns. It stopped my first two from nipping after only a few days of doing it.

I’ve been trying to get my foster to stop biting to. I’ve been working with him for about a month and he’s finally just learning what nose bonking is. I would say try what Sarita is suggesting and just try to keep at it. Some buns are more stubborn than others and don’t want to get it through thier head that biting hurts.
