Hi everyone! I’m about to adopt a new bunny, and I’ve been informed that all of his incisors have been extracted. Does anyone else have a bun without incisors? If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to take care of him, that would be great! Also, since he won’t have to chew on things to wear his teeth down, what kind of toys would you all recommend him playing with? I don’t want him to get bored! And my last question is, since he won’t have his incisors, does this mean he won’t be able to chew on cords and other things around the house? So what would bunny proofing be like?

Welcome, and congrats on the adoption!

My Milo had his incisors removed before we adopted him, and there wasn’t really anything different that we had to do for him except cut up the veggies into smaller pieces. The inability to chew cords and whatnot was definitely nice, and greatly simplifies bunny-proofing. As for toys, Milo enjoyed digging and would actually sometimes tear pages from an old phone book using his gums.
