        I hope this is the correct forum to post this in. ><

        This time, it’s a baby… He’s around 7-8 weeks old. ><

        On the first day, I know I’m supposed to leave him alone but he was running around the cage like crazy and he seemed super excited that I couldn’t help it and picked him up. ; 3 ; Now I think he might be a bit scared of me. lol

        How do I proceed from that?

        But today, I would be leaving him alone since I have work the entire day! I can spend an entire day with him tomorrow though. So what do you guys suggest I do? (*^^*)

        Also, since he’s a baby, I wonder what kind of treats will be permissible for him?

        I’m really excited about having him. He’s a chinchilla Netherland Dwarf, by the way. <3

        I really need your advice! Thanks a lot. <3

          I wouldn’t do treats yet, it could be too rough on his digestive system. Stick to hay and pellets for now
          Congrats on your baby bun! Can you tell us about his living area? Do you plan on litter training him and getting him neutered? Post a picture!

            Hello thanks for the reply! I just gave him 2 or 3 raisins. >< OMG now I'm worried.

            He is staying in a cage. Now, I know this is not very good but his cage door is open and he can go out whenever he wants when he stops being shy. After this, I’m planning to give him free run of my room 3-4 hours a day. I hope he will be fine. His enclosure now contains everything he needs, including a litter box. I’m trying to start early. He seems to be peeing in the box but his pellets are everywhere. lol

            This is him. As you can see, I also gave him a ball and a cardboard tube. He has a loofa to chew on in his cage too. I’m trying my best! ^^

            Anyway, I’m worried about the raisins. T__T I hope he will be fine.

              Don’t worry about the raisins – he should be fine. I cannot really see the cage – if the opening is too high up and has those grid openings you will want to make sure you put something over the wire grids so he doesn’t fall through the holes.

                I will try to take a picture of his enclosure tomorrow morning. It’s really not so big though. :'( I have space constraints. And I also feel the opening too high because he is so tiny. I’m thinking of weaving a mat like the one I used for his floor through it. >< And I will give him something to step on in front of his door. ^^

                Thanks again for making me relieved about the raisins. ; 3 ;

                  Very cute little guy!

                  For now, you can offer pellets as treats. Mine don’t seem to realize that they’re the same pellets they get every at meal time and go crazy if I hand them out.

                  Just let him come to you and explore. Bunnies do best when they go at their own pace, so if he’s ready to come out and run around a bit, let him, but if he seems nervous just sit quietly and read a book and he might come to investigate. Most rabbits don’t like to be picked up, and I generally avoid it with mine, but it has to be done to trim nails and things so don’t worry about it – I’m sure he’ll get over it.
