callie is ten months old. she was shedding and has now developed a weird pattern on her face. i’m not sure if it’s related to the shedding, but that’s all i can come up with.

Marley has lines all over. I think it may just be a new marking. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Yup, that’s normal. My buns often get that weird pattern on their face or body during a shed.

I love when Buster molts because his spots always change! Neat to see what he’ll look like next time

I see lines like that on my girl. My boy doesn’t get shed lines since he’s black and white and they would just blend in.

                        Hello Callie !! <3

You’ll likely see that line start moving up her head.
Rumball (agouti) and TimTim (chinchilla) get the lines.

Aw, Callie’s a cutie! *melts* Nibs is covered with large dark brown spots where his guard hairs have molted. Since he gets cranky when he molts, the phrase, “Uh-oh…I see a sunspot developing….” causes some apprehension. And it’s funny that so many of our buns are molting right now!

that is normal markings that change as they grow, weird molting patterns are like my Big Blue who always looses his fur on the top of his shoulder blades every time he sheds

Ha, yeah just posted another thread about this .

Moonpie started shedding huge chunks of fur from his shoulder (to the point of baldness), and it slowly moved down his back. He did that on his face too. Totally normal, if a tad weird looking.

Totally normal. Java got a few bald spots during this shed and is currently stuck with a “skirt” of winter coat left around his whole bottom butt area. It’s all shaggy now.

Joshua has the exact same marking on his nose!
