How can I get three 5 week old bunnies used to people so they are very friendly and used to people? I have been petting them but don’t know what else to do. They hate being held. I also let them hop around my bedroom with their mom.

Yikes. They are awfully young to be away from their mom. Where did they come from?

            Hi Beka,
I think Mum’s there with them if I read Oatmans post correctly.

Oh! Lol! Yeah, I misread! I think I read that as hopping around with the member’s mom. This makes more sense!

There really isn’t anything you can do to make them like being held. Some buns will tolerate it, but few truly enjoy it. Keep spending time with them like you’re doing.

I think the minimum age they should be away from their mum is 6 weeks. ><
Anyway, it won’t be an easy task. Handling them everyday is good! Reward them every time they come to you so they will associate you with good things. ^^

I’m guessing you are trying to get these little guys friendly so they will be adoptable when they are old enough…. Just keep doing what you are doing, at the moment they are probably more interested in Mum and playtime. Eventually they will be happy to sit and be petted but not necessailry held.

I agree with Roberta. Not to mention, at that age buns are more interested in playing than snuggle time with humans. It never hurts to spend time around the buns and read near them. Just being around them helps socialize.
