        Hello,

We adopted a male rabbit from the shelter a few weeks ago and are having a difficult time litter training him. Our last rabbit we trained within a day to use the litter box only. He use the litter box sometimes but for the most part he just walks around his room pooping everywhere and peeing too. Please help.

        Some facts to know:

He is an adult Holland lop.

He has a bedroom to himself, no cage. (our cage is being used by the 7 week old bunny we adopted)

We have not gotten him neutered yet. (we plan to as soon as we can)

He doesn’t poop in just one place he poops everywhere.

You definitely need to confine him until he used his box and get him neutered too. This is typical for a rabbit in a new place and you always start small and work out.

Yep, sounds normal. He’s simply marking his territory. I would confine him to a smaller area with an xpen until he is neutered. Then you can work on expanding his area.
