My bunny Scribbles just turned 1. He runs around my carpeted room about 15 hours a day. For the past couple months he keeps peeing and pooping right behind my door, so I can’t put a litter box there. He also uses his litter box well, and doesn’t pee or poop anywhere else in my room. My dad is getting annoyed with the mess… Please help!

Maybe there is something you can put behind the door to block his access. Or a type of spray to deter him. Maybe you will have to limit his range in your room for a while. You could try an x pen or gate to block off the area.

I suggest a 50/50 water/white vinegar mix to put on the pee area. Then block that off and watch carefully. He may end up peeing right where you blocked it off. So you may have to confine a bit to stop him from peeing in that area. In the past, I would have to give litter box refresher courses to my bunnies who decided a new place to pee besides their boxes was okay. I would limit their free time until I could supervise them closely and the moment they began to lift their tail in the wrong place, I would gently escort them to their box, and they would get a treat once they were in there. This “retraining” could take a few days or over a week. It take some patience and diligence.
