I’m so nervous! When can I start seeing changes in his behavior after his neuter? He circles my feet constantly and has already sprayed once when my husband entered his cage. I wanna get the ball rolling ASAP with him not always focused on sex!

Good luck with the neuters, guys!!

With one of my boys, I saw results and changes almost instantly — whereas with my other boy he was perfect but I had a lot of trouble with him marking for months afterwards. I eventually used clicker training to help with the litter box habits. Which worked and now he’s fine. Be sure to stay ON top of the litter training though. Remember, letting one slip-up happen can result in weeks of re-litter box training! (I learned that the hard way!)

I never really had to “train” Sally she just kind of naturally knew where to go lol what do you mean by a slip up? Like catching him peeing outside of the box and quickly putting him in the box?

Moreso just not picking up any stray poos or encouraging him where to go to the bathroom. If he pees somewhere he shouldn’t, immediately wipe it up with a paper towel and stick it in his litter box, and vinegar the area to get his urine scent out to help deter him from going there again. That type of thing. I let my bun get away with it a few times and then it turned into him peeing everywhere. Oy vey. New bunny momma problems!

Oh ok gotcha! Yes I’m definitely in my game with that! He seems to pee in his box and get most of the poos but he still has a ways to go :/ Hoping the neuter will help. Mainly because he sprays when I let him out so he can’t be out until he gets neutered and I feel bad lol I hope the spraying and marking stop immediately.

I think he is spraying and marking because we have a unspayed female whom cants get spayed for another month. I wish I could just get them both done at once but the vet says no lol

It can take several weeks for their hormones to die down after a neuter so you will probably see a reduction in hormonal behavior during that time.

Wishing Harley an uneventful neuter and speedy recovery!
