Hi! I used to live in the Bay Area, California and had lots of great rabbit sitters to choose from. Since we moved to Hawaii, there has been a noticeable lack in sitting resources. My husband and I have called a bunch of places, even vets, the humane society and shelters. No luck! We’ve hired and interviewed a handful of sitters so far and none of them have had rabbit experience. Sadly, it showed. Some of them got my rabbit’s litter confused with his food. One let him in our bedroom after we asked to make sure it was closed. I just want a good sitter to watch our beloved bunny. I’m running out of ideas and we’re also planning another, longer trip so I’m anxious about what to do. I’m hoping someone on here may know a potential sitter?

My only thought is to appeal to other rabbit owners there? Perhaps your vet clinic could suggest someone that has their own rabbits and is knowledgeable?

            Hi RabbitLove,
I am a member at Bunspace and they have a huge member base in Hawaii, I have several Bunspace Buddies there. It might be an idea to check out the site, join (it’s free) and start a forum. I can nudge some of my buddies to drop in and have a look. If you can Find, Pepper, Piglet, Nermal, Pipi, Blossom or Pacal in Wanneroo WA and Buddy them it will be easier to find you.
