We finally had a 60 degree day here in south of pittsburgh,  so I harnessed the bunnies up and took them in the yard to romp for the first time.  Clyde the oldest (14 weeks old) loved it! He was a natural on the leash! very comfortable eating grass and sticks and digging in the mud!!! Dustbunny was a little spastic but enjoyed digging in the mud and trying to run into the woods!! Will post pics soon!!! I bought a big pet pen for outside this spring!! can’t wait for them enjoy the fresh country air!!!

I’m glad they had a nice time. I suggest not using a leash and just letting them play in the pen. Leashes can be dangerous if something spooks your bun and he tries to run away. They can be seriously injured. If you use a pen, however, make sure to never, ever leave bunnies unsupervised, not even for a second. We’ve heard a lot of horror stories about bunnies being left outside alone. Definitely not trying to discourage you, but bunny safety is a priority.

Would love to see pics, your buns look super cute.

Thanks so much for the advice. I bought one of those short stretchy leashes for them and used dog harnesses. My fiancee helped take one and I took one. I did buy a pen with a mesh top so they can go out this spring for a little!!  I would never leave them unsupervised, We live in country and there’s a lot of wild cats, coyotes, and hawks!! I have to watch my 6 lbs. chihuahua when she’s out. The hawks try to get her! ugg!!!
