I thought I should share that I’ve been cleaning and rearranging the pantry (Well technically it’s a huge room, only part of it actually holds the canned goods. The rest of the room is for storage, and the bunnies are kept back there, along with the dog’s cages.)

Well, lately I’ve had a baby pen (Like a plastic xpen) around the bunnies’ cage to give them more room for when I’m not able to watch them, the problem is where the cage was and where the pen is, it’s hard for us to get to the shelves and freezer! So my parents made me clean up the shelves and floor so we can move the cage and pen to the far corner… I’ve never really realized how much JUNK my dad keeps.  to be honest, he should be the one cleaning this up! But I guess I’ll deal with it.

As of right now I’m getting next to nothing done because Duchess keeps jumping on one of their hidey houses to nose butt my arms and I get distracted  I can never get anything done thanks to her. *Shakes head* Ahh well, I suppose I should go now and finish cleaning so we can move everything tomorrow.

That’s too cute! =] It takes forever for me to get Skipper’s cage cleaned because she does that to me too. xD

I have a few photos of the before, mainly because I was showing my girlfriend how much junk my dad has.  And a few older pictures of their previous set up. But as I was cleaning and rearranging last night, I picked up a wooden box filled with my dad’s old records from when he DJed before (I think they’re called 8 tracks? They’re the little ones. I just remember always making my dad play them when I was little. lol) And below that box was a hole! I remembered that my dad and granddad raised the floor when we were converting the house from an old store we owned and there’s random holes to get under to things under the floor. There’s one in the kitchen under the sink that Nala found and we learned the hard way to have baseboards under the counters. But I have to talk to my dad about putting a piece of wood there, for right now I stuck newspaper in it to insulate it (The floor’s rather cold at night because it’s tile underneath. And stuck the bunnies in their cage for the night instead of letting them out into the pen like normal. But obviously, my dad covered the hole with the box and forgot about it… Also, the plastic pen is on it’s last leg, we got it for 5$ at a flea market, so I’m not complaining. But I’ll try and post some photos that I already have and snatch one of the good camera’s once I’m finished to show you all!

This was the gist of what they’re old set up was, I had to fix the sides of the pen so that they couldn’t push it away, but this was when I first set it up.

And then here’s the mess I had to clean up. ;_; I had to clear that shelf in the far left corner because that’s where the cage is now, and move that thing, it was so heavy. I ended up moving a monster printer, that was at least 20-30 pounds (THAT DOESN’T EVEN WORK, AND it’s about half my age!) into our garage, along with so much other junk. I told my dad that it’s his problem now.  The worst part was that we cleaned this place over the summer and we somehow ended up with a bunch of junk again.

But today, I’ve started my search for a new pen, because that plastic one is currently held together by zip ties in certain places! I’ll take a photo of the finished product in a bit, haha

(Not sure if I’m doing this right, but I’m going to try and share a video of the bunny’s new enclosure because it’s easier than taking a bunch of photos.)

That’s a really nice set up you have going there! =] And yeah they’re called 8 tracks. =p My dad had a turn table growing up so he taught me how to use it and the difference between records and 8 tracks. xD

Thanks! And I thought so, but I just know they were covering a hole and when I told my dad about it, he was like “OH RIGHT. THERE’S A HOLE IN THE FLOOR.” So for now, it’s filled with newspaper and bricks and covered with a piece of wood, with bricks on top of that. hahaha. And since we don’t go in the door much to the back room/garage, they get about 7-8 feet by 4 feet of running space for when I can’t take them out in the living room or kitchen to watch them. Thankfully, neither of them are like Simba was, and won’t jump over the gate. Also, so they won’t chew on the walls, we put metal shelves from an old freezer, up against the walls, and zip tied them to the gate. Next payday, my mom said I can buy puzzle mats to put on the floor, they don’t pee on the floor, but it’d be nicer than just plain plywood as a floor. And then eventually, I’m going to buy a metal gate. Because as I said before, it’s zip tied together!
