I feel like Jack is too skinny. He is eating almost nonstop. He gets alfalfa hay, Timothy hay, and Timothy pellets. And a salad twice a day but I can feel his hip bones, spinal cord, and ribs. But he already eats so damn much and pooping and being hyper. His sister doesn’t eat near as much and she seems to be at a healthy weight. He is already unlimited hay and pellets but he def isn’t plump for how much he eats. I was trying to get alfalfa pellets but the only kind I could find at petsmart was junk food and Timothy pellets. The brand he is on right now is zupreem Timothy naturals. His Timothy hay brand is oxbow and his alfalfa hay is Kaytee brand. He is roughly 3 months old.

I would contact your vet before doing anything, but maybe you should be offering him more pellets. Here is a good guide to what and how much you should be feeding your little bun

He has unlimited everything due to his age. The only thing restricted is the veggies for obvious reasons. :p but he is ALWAYS eating! The vet checkup is tomorrow so ill bring it up to him.

As he’s only young, is he on junior pellets? Maybe try switching to those if not as they’re specially formulated for young buns.

My vet recommended Calf Mana from Tractor supply when I got Baby and she was severely underweight. just be careful not to feed them that after 6 months of age because they will get too much fat and can develop Fatty liver disease. I wish you the best of luck.

With bunnies, you will always be able to feel their ribs and spine and such if they are at a good weight. If you can’t, then they are too heavy

I honestly wouldn’t worry about weight one way or another unless your vet recommends it; then I would ask the vet what to provide or limit. As your freefeeding, unless he has intestinal parasites, he should be at a good weight. He may appear a little thin if he’s going through growth spurts.

I would also talk to your vet. I can feel my bun’s hips, spine, ribs, etc and he’s a perfect weight, so your bun might be fine.
