  Hi there my rabbits cage is built with 32 grids. It all depends on how much out of cage exercise your rabbit gets and how big your rabbit is. My rabbit is an american sable weighing at 6lbs so I made hers a little larger so she would have more room. She does get 3 hours everyday sometimes more of out of the cage exercise time. I do have a roof on mine because she loves to jump on her hidey house and if i didn’t have a roof she would jump out over! Good Luck

  Roof yes, else they’d jump out and take a 4 level nose dive =).
  Depends on how you design your condo. I have panels as the flooring on each level with a thin wooden plank on the panel. Mine gets free range time as well as a “room” when they are not free range. I’ve still caught them jumping in their condo to the top level, though it’s not as often as when they were only in their condo.
