So I’m building my first condo out of NIC cubes but can’t decide on what size is suitable as spa e is a premium for me being in a small flat.
Originally I was thinking 3 across, 2 deep and 2 tall. Will this be big enough? It’s for a mini lop (US Holland lop).

Or… Should I do three across, three deep and two up?

I’m totally stuck trying to decide! The first option would take 26 panels which is the exact size of one pack.

        Thanks for any ideas!

I am actually redoing my buns cage tonight which is also made out of nic cubes. Her cage is made up of 4 across and 2 deep and 2 tall. You have to decide if that will be enough space for her. rabbits need a litterbox, food and water bowl, toys and a hidey house. Once you put all that in there see if she has enough space to move around and stretch out. Also remember that rabbits need 3 hours or more out of cage exercise each day! Good luck I love building these cages

I would encourage you to go 3x3x2 if you have the space. Are you planning to make a second level? Even though you’ll have some panels left over, they can be incredibly useful around the house for bunny-proofing (and other) purposes.

I would go further up rather than further across or deep if your flat is small. I have a 3 across, 2 deep, 3 tall cage for my bun and it’s a great size for him. He has a level that he likes to use and he is free range all day, only in his cage whenever I’m sleeping.

even with the second dimensions, I highly recommend leveling up

I agree on going up if you have a small space. I built mine with a mini 4th level and I’m sure they’d love to go even higher.

Also consider how much space is on each level. Adding additional levels is irrelevant if there’s not enough floor space for that level. Some people only have a couple panels of floor space for each level; I have 4 panels on 2nd and 3rd levels and the mini 4th level is 2 panels.

Hi, we’re planning on giving him an extra level with a mini level in between the top and the bottom do he can jump between them as he seems to love jumping! We don’t really have the space for any bigger but he does get about 6-7 hours free time out of the cage which he loves!
