My friend has asked me to ask this, since she doesn’t have a computer.

My friend has had rabbits before, like 3 I think, but she’s never had 2 together.
She said she was up for the challenge and wanted to know which would be better pairs:
        • 2 girls
        • 2 boys
        • 1 boy 1 girl

Of coarse she knows to have them spayed and neutered, and such…

She (and I) really appreciate your help! ?

          Boy/Girl is generally the rule.

If she doesn’t have a rabbit already, she should look into a rescue that has pairs that are already bonded. Then the sex doesn’t matter because the hard work is done…

Okay that would probably be her best option. Can I search for rescues near me on HRS?

Check out Petfinder. She can search rabbits located by zip code. The benefit to this is that not all shelters are rabbit-specific, but they may have rabbits for adoption. If they don’t have a pair already bonded, the rescue may allow her to do preliminary “bunny dates” with a couple prospective rabbits.

(The benefit of getting two rabbits that are NOT bonded are that she is free to pick two buns that catch HER eye, but since they will likely be fixed already from the rescue, the bonding can start immediately and the whole house is neutral.)
