My male bunny Harp hates being brushed but I have no choice he’s shedding everywhere. I’ve tried everything, treats, hiding his face in my arm, nothing works. I usually put him on the bed because he won’t run away on it I guess it’s too soft under his feet. I can take the biting and scratching I’m just worried about how much it stresses him out. I’ve tried different brushes too in case the one I had was too hard but nothing helps. My vet said to just keep at it and eventually he’ll get used to it. I just feel horrible upsetting him. I’ve even tried bringing his sister on the bed to keep him calm but that doesn’t help either. Does anyone have any other tricks I could try?

Have you tried taking him somewhere he is completely unfamiliar with? I’ve heard of people setting their bunny on a counter or on top of the washing machine. Actually, just taking my buns down into the basement makes them act like they are at the vet. Basically that means they sit still and they don’t try to get away.
