Well my lil Astro was a very bad boy a few days I cleaned their separate pens and EB got floor play time and all was well Astro was put out  for floor time and I walked out the room  for a few mins when I came back in the room Astro was by EB pen stomping away and scratching at the cage EB was in his fav place his cozy hut so I push Astro away and the next evening to clean and take them out for play time when I came in I saw EB had a chunk of skin on his nose missing took him to the vet n the vet gave him meds for pain but said he’s fine not infected  thank goodness he is ok just beat up …

I feel so bad this happen and thru the cage !

They have their own room separate x pens and spend time daily on the floor of the room most times they just lay next to each other thru the cage once in a while they will fuss with each other but nothing serious now if they are put together all out war brakes out chasing biting all that I have tried to bond even after neutering and I am ok with them just never bonding although I may keep trying every now and again to see if one day it could happen …

what to do ?? This room is the only room they can be in

I’m sorry your bun was injured. It’s normal for a bunny to be aggressive about protecting their territory (cage). This doesn’t mean they will never bond. You may want to use stressing methods to start the bonding, since there has already been aggression. Neutral territory is a necessity for bonding.

I wasn’t tryin to bond then they are caged separately but in the same room astro about for play time bonding is done I another room where they have only ever been for bonding which we went on a can ride first one time which worked for allow 5 mins I will prob keep tryin but I’m ok if they never bond but most days when one is out to play and the other is in his cage I see them cuddling thru the cage I feel like maybe they have hope so it makes me wanna try but other times they thump and literally attack the cages at times so Idk but I never expected astro especially to take a chunk outta EB nose poor guy Thru it all EB has been the aggressor and is the younger one

I just wanted to confirm – they’re neutered? How long have you had them and how old are they?

To prevent aggression like this, is it possible to separate their cages by just a few inches so that they can’t hurt each other?
