        Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading this forum for a little while now trying to learn as much as I can.  I’ve got two rabbits, Ben & Jerry, and they’re about 11 months old.  Ben is a blue tort Netherland Dwarf mix and Jerry is a chocolate mini Rex.   I got them this past March and just had them neutered last week, thank goodness!  They had been really well bonded since they were both gotten together as babies, but as the hormones and teenage angst kicked in they started getting more “humpy” and territorial with each other.  I separated them with a divider in their cage so they could see and smell each other but couldn’t hump or lunge about  3 weeks before their neuter.  They went in, made it through just fine, and have continued to exist in their divided cage since.  The vet recommended they stay separated for a month post-surgery but that it was crucial that they continue to be able to see and smell each other and have supervised playtime.  They’re doing pretty well but I’m worried I’m going to have to rebond them because there has been more aggression from Jerry than I’ve seen before, lots of lunging, chasing, nipping, and humping.  I’ve only seen Ben get fed up enough to fight back twice, and both times the spat died down before I could even intrvene and they went back to being their curious selves.  All that, in a nutshell, is why I’m here.  I’m ready to read, ask, and learn as much as I  possibly can.

Welcome! You most likely will have to rebond them but hopefully it won’t be too difficult.
